Before there was a "New Force", we started as a golden and silver age comic collector/procurer/secondary market dealer in 1986 (my second year of college). I continued to actively buy and sell comics until I graduated from the University of Florida (BS in Finanace, and BS in economics) in 1990 and entered the "work force". On the side, I started New Force Comics, and continued to dabble in the comics market, predominantly buying and selling Gold and Silver age comics. As the years progressed, my interests expanded from just SuperHero comics, into toy and action figure collecting. I had been a long time Star Trek and Star Wars fan since the mid 1970's and the two went hand in hand (comics and toys). So, in 1995, we expanded to New Force Comics and Collectibles, and started setting up direct accounts with major distributors such as Hasbro, Playmates, Diamond Comics, etc. In 1997, our business had grown to the point where we went from part-time comic and toy dealer, to full time retailer, wholesaler and now "e-tailer", and have served over 150,000 customers in transactions worldwide in the past 11 years. We currently wholesale and retail new comics and collectible toys to customers in all 50 states, and virtually every free country in the world. In 1999, we obtained the exclusive rights to produce 3 Star Trek figures/dolls, by Playmates Toys. And, in 2000, we relocated from Miami, Florida to Lynn Haven, Florida, where we currently operate over 3000 square feet of office, storage, and retail warehouse space (open to the public).
In an effort to expand in 2001 to the present, we added several more lines from companies such as McFarlane Toys, Mezco, Art Asylum, DST, Palisades,and IPI Toys. We regularly advertise in print trade publications (Toy Shop, Toy Fare, Lee's,Action Figure and Toy Review etc), and have several articles written about us in those publications.
